Hostgator has exceeded all my expectations as a website hosting provider. Their service is always up, quick, and responsive. The app is easy to use and the plugins and additional services Hostgator provides meet all my website needs. I've used this service for over seven years with no issues. It is also very affordable and offers several different plans to meet my needs as they change. Happy customer!
My site kept crashing and showing fatal error with every theme or plugin installed but the live chat tech support resolved all the issues. They even upgraded my php and a representitive called the next day to check on me.

It’s been a hassle migrating my site and all the stuff I had on it did not migrate
I bought a domain name and a hosting plan from Hostgator. Though it is not my usual area of expertise, I am trying to build up my website. At some point Ihad difficulties and Hostgator support team was up to the task in supporting me to resolve the issues. One of my main issues was a registral mistake I amde at the beginning but this was solved after escalating my issue to admins. Thank you Hostgator.
So I saw a bad review here saying that the customer support asked for login credentials. The Hostgator rep Erinn said, "That is 100% unacceptable and not how our agents are trained to do things". I am in tech support chat with "Michael" who "disconnected" and then "John" who also asked for my login info. As the previous reviewer asked, What year is this? Can I get a 503 error resolved without having to have a shady interaction?
Using WordPress via hostgator, it's super easy, got my site live in no time ????
Didn't actually fix the problem. I'll have to find a new host.
UPDATE: Bit of confusion on the Trust Pilot thing. HostGator reached out to me with lightning speed and fixed the problem (which wasn't something simple.)
I'm fixed. They did a good job, and I appreciate their knowledge and service.
Day 3, of support request from my Dedicated Managed Server Support. I am informed that that "Admin" will get back to me. Since I can't do any business with many unhappy customers I might as well give a day by day update to help other not to signup with HostGator. They are not what they once were. Their service has nearly grinded to a halt and has become a "door stop" to any sort of stable ecommerce. They say a picture says a thousand words... see attachment.
Paid over $500.00 and now they refuse to give a refund saying i only had 45 days to request one.
I cancelled my hosting. Its unjust enrichment they get to keep almost $400 of my money and they do nothing. More bad reviews to come their way.
It is very usefoul and it hase great support if u have problems with your web page.Its very cheap and i recommend it to evryone
I bought a dedicated server from HostGator on March 10th, 2021. Since the first day, I have been requesting help from their IT team. When I contact chat support they always explain they could only do first-level tech support which is okay but then when I ask to get further help, they explain that the case needs to be escalated. The level 2 tech support can only be contacted via email. It takes forever to get a response. It is now 14 days after, I made the purchase and I am still not set up. I am still waiting for IT support from HostGator. They need to have a direct number for help that is level 2 tech support. It is unacceptable.
I`ve been using Hostgator to develop many websites, I have no complaints the packages and customer service is great

If you go straight to smartchat, it is very easy - you only need to find the smartchat button. I have worked with the Internet since web browsers were invented, so I know most of the answers already. That means that when I have a problem that I can't solve, it is going to be a real stinker for HostGator support to solve - I only bring them the difficult ones.
Recently, I had an ISP who gave me terrible service, and the internet kept dropping out every few minutes. The Hostgator smartchat expert kept contact with me on and of for about an hour and three quarters until he had worked out the answer for me. That is what I call RELIABLE service.

Yes there is less expensive, but not better.

I've used them for many years, and for over 25 websites, which I couldn't have done if they were a scam. Naturally they have computer problems now and then... don't you?
